Download our technical note on phase contrast in addition to fluorescence
Argolight patterns have successfully been imaged with a quantitative phase microscope equipped with a a
SID4 BIO camera from Phasics.
In addition to fluorescence contrast, Argolight patterns have been shown to exhibit a phase contrast as well,
due to a RI difference of about +10-3 (for Argo-HM products) relative to the surrounding glassy matrix.
Spatial correlation between the phase contrast and the fluorescence contrast has been observed.
This opens applications in correlative fluorescence and phase contrast microscopy: co-registration correction between images acquired in fluorescence and phase contrast modalities, phase contrast
microscope quality control, validation of light propagation reconstruction algorithms for 3D imaging, etc.
